The Premier International Competition Event
and Training for Special Operations Teams
ATTENTION
ALL INTERNATIONAL TEAMS
We look forward to greeting you in Orlando, Florida!
The SWAT Round-Up International Committee
welcomes you to the 25th Anniversary of the premier
international training and competition event for special
operations teams! In an effort to make your experience in
Orlando more enjoyable, we will attempt to provide you with as
much equipment and hospitality as possible. The SRI Committee
will provide basic weapons (handguns, subguns, rifles, etc.) for
use by international teams during competition events, as well as
matching holsters and magazine pouches. We will also provide you
with all necessary rappel gear (see below for a list of weapons
and rappel gear). This assistance should eliminate the necessity
for international teams to coordinate with their country or the
United States for shipment of weapons and ammunition.
Weapons and ammunition for individual training classes will be
limited and will be distributed for use on a first come, first
served basis.
The Team Registration fee is $750 (this
includes 5 competitors plus 3 alternates). A fee of $400 will
also be assessed to all international teams for use of
ammunition and weapons. If an international team chooses
to utilize their personal/agency weapons, the fee will still be
assessed and apply.
Total International Team Registration Fee is $1,150.
It is the pleasure of the SWAT Round-Up International
Committee to assist all international teams by assigning a
liaison who will work hand-in-hand with the team during the
week of training and competition. However, the international
team will be responsible for basic requirements as follows:
• We do not suggest that international teams attempt to
bring weapons into the United States for this event.
However, if an international team chooses to utilize their
personal/agency weapons, they will be solely responsible for
all weapons and ammunition brought into the United States.
The SWAT Round-Up International Committee does not have the
authority to facilitate the paperwork and/or coordination of
weapons transportation, nor the do we have the authority to
grant permission for individuals to enter the United States.
Please ensure that all appropriate arrangements and
paperwork are approved and confirmed prior to leaving your
country.
• Each international team is expected to bring all other
items needed for training and competition (example: gas
masks, duty belts, protective eye & ear equipment,
protective vests, etc.). If an international team
experiences difficulty bringing their own equipment, it will
be the responsibility of the team leader to acquire or
borrow this equipment from another team or from a vendor.
• Practice/training time for all international teams will be
available at the OCSO Range during the week of Monday,
October 29th 2007, through Friday,
November 2nd, 2007.
Deputy Steve Berens will be coordinating the international
team practice/training schedule and can be contacted at
office 407-254-7426 or cell 407-468-8014 or via e-mail
steve.berens@ocfl.net.
• Transportation to and from the hotel and the range will be
the responsibility of each team. Please ensure advanced
vehicle rental reservations are confirmed. Vehicle rental
reservations are usually much easier to obtain through a
travel agency in your respective country. That travel agency
should be able to make arrangements for you here in Orlando
prior to your arrival.
• Please ensure advanced hotel reservations are made with
the hotel of your choice. Some international teams wish to
reserve a suite. If this is the case, you may wish to
contact the Sheraton Suites (407-240-5555) or the Hawthorne
Suites (407-438-2121) for special rates.
If you have any questions, or need additional information,
please contact Bev Thornton at
