Overall Winners Of SRI2010

The six day symposium consisted of education and training seminars, a trade show by over a hundred vendors and manufacturers as well as the legendary head-to-head tactical competition.


SRI 2010 featured 51 tactical teams, judges and nationally renowned instructors from 81 agencies, 22 states and 12 countries including teams from Kuwait, Hungary, Canada, Bosnia, Jamaica, Germany, Brazil and The United States.

The SWAT Round-Up team competition will consist of the several events as exampled below. Events are subject to change each year and full details will be released after registration.  To obtain full descriptions and diagrams of the team competition events, as well as individual events, please contact Bev Thornton at beverly.thornton@ocfl.net or 407-254-7013. 

Team Registration fee is $800 which includes 8 competing members. Each team event requires 5 competitors; however, you may register up to 8 personnel on a competitive team. All 8 members will be eligible to compete in team events during the week. This $800 fee will register team members for all competition events, educational classes, barbecue on Sunday evening, hospitality reception on Tuesday evening, and the awards ceremony & dinner Friday evening.

Individual Registration fee is $100 which will register individuals who are not participating as competing team members, but wish to attend classes and other events. This will include registration for individual events, educational classes, barbecue on Sunday evening, hospitality reception on Tuesday evening, and the awards ceremony & dinner on Friday evening.

EVENT #1: HOSTAGE RESCUE

The Hostage Rescue will consist of a five (5) man team; one Sniper and four Entry Team members. Eye and ear protection are mandatory throughout the event for all five team members. Each Entry Team member must wear an unaltered gas mask during the entire event and a tactical entry vest. SWAT Round Up International will provide the tactical entry vest. NOTE: Frangible Ammunition is required for this event, EXCEPT the sniper shots.

EVENT #2: PRITCHER SCRAMBLE

The Pritcher Scramble requires each team to work together in order to traverse various obstacles and arrive at shooting positions from which each team member will engage a moving target. Eye and ear protection, as well as body armor, are mandatory throughout the event.

EVENT #3: OFFICER RESCUE

The Officer Rescue requires each team to negotiate a canal filled with water, engage multiple targets with multiple weapons, and rescue a downed officer in a simulated chemical environment. NOTE: Frangible Ammunition is required for this event.

EVENT #4: TOWER SCRAMBLE

The Tower Scramble will consist of a five man team; two Snipers and three Assault Element members (handgun shooters). All team members will begin in the Start/Finish Box. During this event, all team members must climb the Tower and rappel down the designated side. Eye and ear protection, as well as body armor, are mandatory throughout the event for all five team members. NOTE: Frangible Ammunition is required for this event, EXCEPT the sniper shots.

EVENT #5: OBSTACLE COURSE

The Obstacle Course requires the team to overcome sixteen individual physically challenging obstacles through the application of teamwork and fortitude.
